Robbery Update

Date Posted: 11/15/2019

On September 3, 2019 Parsons Police Officers were notified about an Aggravated Robbery that took place in the 3100 block of Morgan. The victim of the Robbery was identified as a Juvenile, and the suspect was later identified as JB Donaldson.

Donaldson reportedly pulled a sawed-off shotgun on the juvenile victim robbing him of a backpack, school supplies and an iPhone 8. The investigation posed a bigger problem in identifying Donaldson due to witnesses only knowing of the suspect's 'Street Name'. Donaldson is also known as "J-Blow, Jayveon, Glizzy Gang ", and had come to Parsons from Independence.

Through the course of the lengthy investigation it was found that Donaldson was involved in a residential burglary on September 23rd in the 2600 block of Partridge. Donaldson has been associated with some of our local criminal element and is assisting them in on-going criminal activity.

Parsons Police Chief Robert Spinks says, "we are not going to allow strangers to come into our community and victimize juveniles in the streets without repercussions. This incident could have had deadly consequences and ended in the death of a child. This criminal has been brought to justice as far as the police can bring him. It is now up to the courts and the jury to hold this violent offender accountable for his actions."

Acting Commander Kyle Wiford commends the officers involved for their part in the investigation for being able to charge Donaldson for his part in this criminal activity. "We are going to stop Parsons from being a criminal haven one arrest at a time," says Wiford.

"We want our streets to be safer and need the community to continue to be involved in these cases. This case was built on good investigations and community participation. Good witnesses are key in closing cases and keeping the community safe," finished Spinks.

Law Enforcement Officials are still searching for a wanted man in connection with the Robbery. Tony Tavoris Williams, also known as Clarence Dean, and Clarence Lee Williams, has a Labette County warrant for Aggravated Robbery, and Aggravated Intimidation of a Witness. Officials advise not to approach Williams and he is to be considered armed and dangerous. If you see Williams called 911.

This continues to be an on-going investigation and citizens are encouraged to "See It, Hear It, Report It." If anyone has any further information on this incident or any other criminal activity, please contact the Parsons Police Department at 421-7060 or call the Tip Line at 421-7057 or email at tips@parsonspd.com.
