DVU Mission: Prevent and respond to domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking through dedicated investigations, comprehensive victim advocacy, and robust community education. We provide essential resources, crisis intervention, and support to victims, fostering a safer and more informed community.
DVU Vision: Significantly reduce the incidence of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking in our community. We will foster a safer environment where individuals feel supported and empowered. Through innovative prevention strategies, compassionate victim services, and collaborative partnerships, we aim to hold offenders accountable and promote lasting change in societal attitudes towards domestic violence.

Victim Support Services
- Kansas Bill of Rights for Victims of Crime: To ensure fair and compassionate treatment and enhance the effectiveness of the criminal justice system, victims of crime are granted the following basic rights and considerations
- Kansas Attorney General's Victim Services: Offers resources and support for crime victims in Kansas.
- Kansas Legal Services: Provides legal assistance to low-income Kansans.
- Victim Compensation - Kansas Attorney General's Office: Financial assistance for victims of crime, including compensation for medical expenses, counseling, and lost wages. Learn About Victim Compensation
- VINE - Victim Information and Notification Everyday: A free, anonymous service that allows victims to check on the custody status of offenders.
- Crime Victim Services and Suicide Prevention Hotline: Offers confidential help to crime victims and those considering suicide.
Stalking
- SPARC - Stalking Prevention, Awareness, and Resource Center: Provides resources and information to help victims of stalking.
- Stalking Incident Log A Stalking incident log is a detailed record maintained to document occurrences of stalking behavior, serving as evidence to support legal action and ensure the safety of the victim.
- Office for Victims of Crime: Provides federal resources to help victims of crime.

- Kansas Sexual and Domestic Violence Service Providers Local Kansas sexual and domestic violence victim advocacy services, available statewide at no cost, are confidential, voluntary, and accessible to all victims regardless of location.
