Pharmacy Robbery
PRESS RELEASE
Pharmacy Robbery
On January 29, 2021 at approximately 6:44 pm, Parsons Police Officers were called to a reported Robbery at the Auburn Pharmacy inside of King Cash Saver at 2020 Main.
When Officers arrived on scene Sergeant Brice Dickens spoke to one of the witnesses as other responding officers canvassed the area of the Robbery. Sgt. Dickens was given a description of the suspect as a white male between 5'8" and 5'10" wearing a black mask, black hoodie, black gloves, and brown overalls. The suspect was last seen running south from the store armed with a pistol with a black grip and silver on top.
Officers reviewed video footage of the robbery and collected evidence at the scene. The canvass of the area did not result in finding the suspect. The police are still looking for information in connection to the robbery. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of medicine from the pharmacy before fleeing the area.
"I am sincerely thankful that nobody was hurt," according to Parsons Police Chief Robert Spinks. "Robberies can escalate very quickly, and when they spiral out of control people get seriously injured or killed. That did not happen in this case because the victims involved complied with the requests. It is easy to replace items and merchandise, that is what insurance is for. It is impossible to replace a life and no amount of money or belongings is worth a life."
We want the public to focus on our principle of 'See It, Hear It, Report It' and call the police any time that there is a suspicious person(s) or activities in your area. It is never an unnecessary call when the public is concerned about safety. If you are a victim of a crime be compliant, observe everything. The smallest detail can make or break a case. Please lock your doors and install cameras at all access points and even exterior if you can.
The police are asking anyone in the area that has ring doorbells or exterior cameras to please review them and let the police know if you witness anything that looks suspicious or out of the norm in your neighborhood. If you witness anything matching the suspect's description, please let officers know. All help is appreciated.
This continues to be an on-going investigation and citizens are encouraged to "See It, Hear It, Report It." If anyone has any further information on this incident or any other criminal activity, please contact the Parsons Police Department at 421-7060 or call the Tip Line at 421-7057 or email at tips@parsonspd.com.
