Parsons Police Department Recognized for Excellence in Policy and Training
The Parsons Police Department announced today that it has been recognized for excellence in policy management and training for 2022 by Lexipol, the nation's leading provider of policy, training, and wellness support for first responders and public servants.
The Lexipol Connect program tracks the Parsons Police Departments performance on five metrics proven to measure success in policy management. The Parsons Police Department achieved Gold recognition for consistent and effective policy dissemination to personnel, timely policy updates as laws change, and officer training on policies.
"Good policies-and regularly training on those policies-provide the foundation for what we do and how we serve our community. We are proud to be recognized by Lexipol Connect for continuously improving professionalism and safety," says Lieutenant Jason Ludwig, who oversees the department's policy and training. "This is the department's third Gold award since we started using Lexipol in 2018. The award really goes to the hardworking officers and department staff who are constantly training and staying current with new state and federal statutes as well as case law derived from the nation's courts. Law enforcement is an evolutionary profession and never stays static for long, just as society evolves, law enforcement must evolve with it."
The Parsons Police Department's excellence in policy and policy training enhances community safety by ensuring consistent, effective responses based on national best practices.
"Police departments using Lexipol policies are progressive agencies delivering the highest levels of service," says Parsons Police Chief Robert Spinks. "Your police department is delivering a standard of excellence through their policy management efforts that reduce risk for personnel and those we serve."
