On November 14, 2022, Parsons Police Department was notified about someone staying in a red tagged house in the 1800 block of Chess Ave. Code Enforcement Officer Tyeler Riggs notified Officer Russel Parsons that Timothy Robinson had been frequenting red tagged houses in town and that he was spotted on the property in the 1800 block of Chess Ave.

When Officer Parsons made contact with Robinson, he was arrested for Criminal Trespass. Robinson has been warned numerous times to stay off red tagged property. Red tagged property is not allowed to have anyone on it without prior expressed permission by Parsons Code Enforcement and is an arrestable offense.

When Robinson was arrested, he had a black backpack on his person. When Robinson was booking into the jail officers located over 41 grams of methamphetamines as well as narcotic pills and a small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia. Parsons Police are requesting the following charges from the Labette County Attorney's Office; Possession with Intent to Distribute within 1,000 feet of School, 3 counts of Possession of Controlled Substance, Introduction of Contraband into a Jail, Possession of Paraphernalia and Criminal Trespass.

Parsons Police Chief Robert Spinks said, "this is another win for the Parsons Police and the community. Great partnerships with city departments like Code Enforcement just took another drug dealer off the streets. Now we allow the judicial system to make this career felon answer for his criminal behavior. I sincerely hope that Robinson seeks the help he needs to contribute to society. I also want to thank Officer Russel Parsons for a job well done on making a good arrest. Even our officers that are working 12-24-36 hours of overtime are still putting out quality arrests and making a difference for their community. I hope that we can get the relief they need with quality applicants in the future. We can't afford to lose officers like Officer Parsons to other agencies anymore."

This continues to be an on-going investigation and citizens are encouraged to "See It, Hear It, Report It." If anyone has any further information on this incident or any other criminal activity, please contact the Parsons Police Department at 421-7060 or call the Tip Line at 421-7057 or email at tips@parsonspd.com.
