Fugitive Arrested in Parsons

On Friday September 25, 2020 at approximately 2:30 pm, Parsons Police partnered with the U.S. Marshals Service, Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP), and Labette County Sheriff's Office on a multi-agency fugitive apprehension.

A wanted fugitive from out of state was taken into custody in the area of Main and 29th in Parsons. Traffic was temporarily shut down during the operation.

Further information about this operation will have to come from the U.S. Marshals Service, which was the lead agency in this apprehension.

"We appreciate the hard work and inter-agency cooperation of the U.S. Marshals Service, KHP, and our sheriff's office," said Parsons Police Chief Robert Spinks. "Another felon has been removed from the street of Parsons."

According to Deputy Chief Dennis Dodd, "We always appreciate our partnering law enforcement agencies to bare additional resources to crush crime in our community."
