Former Commissioner Candidate Arrested
On January 2, 2020 Parsons Police Officers were called to investigate a physical altercation that took place at Good Samaritan nursing home 709 Leawood Ave. Parsons, KS.
Upon conclusion of the investigation it was found that after a verbal confrontation, Sontana Johnson, a former City Commissioner Candidate, had battered a coworker. Johnson was subsequently arrested without incident for Battery and Criminal Damage.
Charges are also filed against the battery victim, Heather Tirrell, for Disorderly Conduct through the Parsons Municipal Court.
Johnson was later released from the Parsons Police Departments Lock-up after processing and charges sent to the City Attorney Ross Albertini.
