Arrest Made in Main Street Burglary
On August 5, 2020 at approximately 5:56 am, the Parsons Police Department was notified about a business on Main Street in the 2500 block with a broken window. Responding officers arrived at 2530 Main, PC Repair Store, and witnessed an individual in the store.
Officers took a male juvenile suspect into custody. The owner of the store later reviewed video surveillance and reported that there were two suspects that broke into the store and that there was a missing computer along with the broken window.
Juvenile Intake was contacted about the juvenile suspect who was arrested, and he was later released to his mother to await court processing. Charges for Burglary, Theft, and Criminal Damage are being sought for the juvenile through the Labette County Attorney Office.
Parsons Police are still reviewing leads on the second suspect that was not located at the time of the burglary and arrest.
Parsons Police Deputy Chief Dennis Dodd said, "This arrest was made possible due to the quick response of dedicated officers. We will continue to follow good information until all of the facts are put in place and we can make a great case. This is a win for See It, Hear It, Report It and a bigger win for the community."
